Christopher Ross is a New York sculptor whose work synthesizes sculpture techniques with contemporary influences. Commanding and curvaceous, his sculptures frequently reference the heroic female form and are informed by his interest in European art, historical research, and the relationship between male and female.

IN FULL GALLOP

A horse head with its mouth agape and eyes wide open as if in full stride is the latest example of wearable works of art by the accomplished and prominent sculptor Christopher Ross. Available in exquisitely crafted sterling or gold, it is an Objet d’art or ‘body armor’, sculpted to be worn on an artisan made belt of walnut brown calfskin.
.

Christopher Ross envisioned sculpture to wear; works that exist between sculpture and bodily adornment. Each limited edition object is sculpted and finished from A-Z by Mr. Ross himself; numbered, signed and stamped with his signature thumbprint, date and copyright.

Notable collectors include The State Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg, Russia; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City and The National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh.

His sculptures to wear are eye-catching and unmistakable expressions of individuality and discerning taste.
